Bounce rate is very important factor in the quality of your content but let's look to other example.
Someone searches for a answer to a question, writes it on google, reads it on a web page, the answer is not long, after that leaves, not because the quality of the answer was not good, but because the answer was relevant for what that person wanted and that was all.

Thanks for the comment, Sorin. I think your comment brings up two great points.

1. It's important to monitor your website stats and search terms to see exactly which user groups are bouncing.
2. If users are finding information they are looking for and still bouncing, you may need to improve your website's call-to-action.

Thank you for this!
I was a bit confused about bounce rate and how it works, but now I understand it better.

Hi - you mention that bounce rates vary by industry. I would suppose bounce rates also vary by the type of site you have as well: e-commerce site vs. an informative site.

Do you have any studies/white papers that have documented what are acceptable bounce rates?
